Why do I blog?

A blog is like a digital journal where you talk about your passions or interests. It is a place where you share and help others with your expertise and talk about what you like or dislike. 


I post a variety of information. Blogging gives me the freedom to express many of my interests. A lot goes on inside this brain of mine. The end goal is to help or entertain others. I appreciate each and every one of you who engage and read my content! 😉

1 month Starter Loc Retwist

 1 month into my loc journey! 

I'm excited because years ago two strand twist (starter locs) would last 3 days max. 

In my city there are Locticians, however I felt confident with doing my retwist. 

It's not often that I allow anyone in my hair, so I pretty much knew that I would do my retwist lol. 

 Olive oil 
This has been my favorite oil lately. 

I'm still undecided with what products I want to use for my retwist

As of now I am loving the products  I used for my retwist. I've heard that Murray's Gel Loc-Lock isn't the best product to use, but as of now it's working. Plus I use a very small amount of product. Check out my results in the video below:

Week 2 and 3 Starter Locs

My two strand twist starter locs are still installed! For style I just pull my hair to the side. I spritz my hair with water 💦 daily.  I'm loving the low maintenance life. 

I couldn't wait to wash my hair! I found any excuse to do it! Icing from my daughter's birthday cake was a great excuse lol

If I could wash my hair every day I would, but that's a NO! 

I used the Mane Choice "Give it to me Straight Shampoo and no conditioner. I used the shampoo because it's the only shampoo in my home. However, it works great for build up. 

After washing my hair I did apply Curls "Blueberry" Leave-In and  and extra virgin olive oil.  I allowed my hair to dry overnight. 


If I'm not going anywhere; I don't pin my starter locs. I allow them to be free. I don't want to cause any tension. I need them to flourish ok :)
