Barbecue Chicken with the Air Fryer

Fedora Fedora

I was excited to find a black inexpensive Fedora!

I am all for ordering online, but I’m old school and I like to see, touch and buy!

I also read that if you order online you risk the hat arriving to you bent out of shape.

It feels like quality, but I only spent $10.97

I replaced my old black hat for this one! I love that it’s comfortable with my locs and just not for a photo opportunity lol

Hyperpigmentation

When I tell you this was so annoying! I was able to conceal it, but that wasn’t enough. I almost gave up. I tried a lot of natural remedies that did wonders to my skin, but it wouldn’t clear up this nasty spot.

I am very transparent in the video 😊 I zoom in on my skin.

I only used the soap one time.
HYDROQUINONE (ingredient) actually kills melanin cells.

Listen; I love my melanin -just not on that spot on my face 😊 I used a q-tip each time and I applied the product only to that one spot. The first week I applied the product twice a day, but I felt I was doing too much. I begin applying the product once a day.

Week One I had a small break out and I stopped using it for a few days and applied my go-to oldie toothpaste to the breakout. I actually gave up after I saw the mini breakout because I read about scary stories. My mom convinced me it was apart of the process and I’m glad I listened to her lol 😂 When the coast was clear I only begin applying the product once a day... Day or night. I’m happy! AMBI ...

Normalcy During The Pandemic

Is there a such thing ?

Yes. I’m a introvert and I’m ok with not being too social. I do miss family gatherings, but at the same time I really want to be safe.

The pool was fixed just in time for a much needed swim and sense is normalcy. It was pure sun and fun. In the video below you will see that we really enjoyed ourselves this summer.

Are you Chicken?

That’s right! Are you chicken ? Lol

No more grease! 🚨

I didn’t believe it would work!

(You can use regular flour and your own seasonings)

I just wanted to try the chicken fry along with my seasonings.

It takes 24mins and taste amazing!

Cook for 12 mins on each side and coat/spray a little extra virgin olive oil on the chicken. I cook mine up to 30 mins. It truly depends on how “crispy” you are feeling!

My availability to film in the day is limited and I had to come up with a way to take photos and videos - period.

It was so annoying not being able to film due to natural light. ☀️

No more Grease

I’m back at it again with this air fryer!

It was 10pm and I was craving French fries and I decided to make my own using the air fryer. It took 16 mins and I don’t regret it. They were so yummy! I love potatoes! 🥔 I was actually a little nervous 😬 I assumed they would be nasty. I honestly thought the potatoes would be raw. I am so glad I tried it! Those days of frying French fries in heavy oil are long gone. No more grease.

Wrap your hair up

So I wrapped it up...

When I was a loose natural I never wore wraps. I always felt like I looked a mess... yes trust me! I did! lol One day on my Walmart or Target 🎯 run I decided to grab a few scarfs from the FirstLine Evolve brand. I could’ve went to the fabric section, but remember I was trying to get in an out! No time to waste! I think all the wrap scarfs are $5.

I graduated 20 years ago! Wow 😳

memory lane moment —

I remember the Y2K scare!

Basically, the world was freaking out about the Y2K bug that would supposedly bring about the end of the world.

Spoiler Alert 🚨 (Nothing happened.)

My heart goes out to the Class Of 2020 as they navigate celebrating during this pandemic. So many creatives have made the best out of it! 🤛🏽

Graduations may look a little different this year as families and friends gather remotely or within a safe distance. Graduation signifies many things. It indicates progress, growth, and transformation.

TACO TUESDAY Quick EASY Tacos with Black Beans

So I ain’t ~Yes I said (Ain’t) sold on being a Vegan, but I am experimenting with meatless meals during quarantine. I am definitely incorporating Vegetarian meals more often. Yes (heavy on the sour cream) I love sour cream!

Y’all it was so good! I wanted Tacos, but I didn’t want meat. It’s been 2 months of no dining in or takeout. I only miss Texas Roadhouse rolls.

Black Beans - (add your seasonings) I used salt 🧂 Pepper and onion power. I used canned black beans -cook time 5-6 mins (please drain the beans)

Shells -cook time 5-6 minutes in the oven

Basically here’s exactly what I used to make my 🌮 tacos.

I didn’t have any lettuce or tomatoes available, but the salsa was all that I needed! In the future I will try lettuce 🥬 and 🍅 tomatoes. As far as cheese 🧀 when I order a Chipotle bowl I always request tons of mozzarella so I knew that part would work. I don’t think I will try any other cheese 🧀 quite yet 🤣

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! ❤️
