How I Color My Hair at Home

So I posted a video sharing how I Color my hair @ home.

As I stated in the video this is my staple color. It never fails me lol. I think the reason why I don't go to a professional is because I'm scared that I won't be satisfied. However, on Instagram I found a colorist in Atlanta, GA that I would love to visit one day. Until then, I can do the job lol. Moisturizing your hair is key.  Spritz your hair with water, apply a leave-in of your choice and your favorite oil and you will experience a happy Color journey!

Here's the video of  my 1st experience with color as a natural: It's definitely a throwback, yet one of my most popular videos:

I uploaded this video  in 2011

Wow! Minus the 2 year break from YouTube I've been making videos for a long time! lol

Have you ever colored your natural hair

My 1st Time Installing Clip-ins

(I colored the hair myself)

Ok, so I just fell in love with clip-ins! I was only sent 1 bundle, but I worked with what I had. That's with anything I do in life lol. No worries, Amazing Beauty Hair Extension is sending me more hair to review.

Hair: Kinky Curly (I actually picked the wrong texture)
Afro Kinky Coily (4C) is the texture I will review in the future.

Sponsored by Amazing Beauty  Hair Extensions
Fresh out the box ✋🏾

 My Hair texture 4b/4C

I ended up using Eco "Black Castor Oil" & Flaxseed oil gel for a twist out with the clip-ins.

DIY Emoji Stress Balls

My children wanted to make stress balls. πŸ™ƒ We went to our local Dollar Tree and found emoji balloons and play-doh.  My daughter chose the CraZArt brand and she actually prefers this brand. FYI Dollar Tree  does carry the play-doh brand.  We didn't purchase the petroleum jelly "compare to Vaseline " at the Dollar Tree because we forgot to pick it up on that visit lol. Did my children make these for me ? Haaaaa!

Hope you enjoy the video and now you can make your own stress ball! 🏑😎😊

Ross Find

I love Ross! The staff at my local Ross consider me as a frequent shopper. Ross needs a rewards card. I need points lol. Every dollar I spend I need a reward. Let me email the CEO πŸ˜‚.

I almost left it at the store, but it was one of a kind. This particular find was only $11.99.
If I see multiples of a item I don't mind leaving without purchasing. If it's the only one I can't risk the item not being available when I come back.
I absolutely adore this jumper. It's free flowing. My grandmother use to wear pants like this and it's why I purchased it. I wanted something comfy, yet not revealing. The colors were perfect.

LaToya's Life

I finished this book in 2 days.

It was a very good read. It kept me intrigued. I couldn't put the book down. It was interesting to read about her childhood/ teenage years. LaToya overcame quite a few obstacles.  Her life was definitely not perfect. I admire her work ethic. Yes, YouTube is work.  Despite what others thought or didn't understand about YouTube; LaToya remained focus. She was able to grow her channel and establish success!

If you make YouTube videos this book will inspire you! This is definitely a great book for someone who wants to start a channel. LaToya's story will inspire you to cut the camera on and BE YOU! 🎬

I purchased  my book online, because it was sold out at my local bookstore.

Great job LaToya! May you continue to grow! πŸ’‹

From one Toya to another! Great job!

If I had the patience I would grow my hair out, but I don't lol. Months ago,  I mentioned  to YouTuber "Ghana Goddess" that I had this wig and I finally made a video! You can find this wig under $20!  It's worth it!

  Serious  PoseπŸ™ƒ

This is my go-to style when I'm having a bad hair day! It takes about 10 minutes to complete the look. I definitely have bad hair days. This half-wig ends that struggle lol.  Half wigs have been my favorite for years. I wore them at the beginning of my natural hair journey and I still love them!

Summer Body vs All Year Body πŸ‘™

Summer began June 21, 2017 and I did not reach my goal.

How can I reach my goal if I'm not putting in the work lol. I workout at least 2-3 days a week. I struggle with consistency. I eat snacks too! The bad snacks that love my midsection. Sometimes I  just don't feel like working out. Can you relate? I'm a busy mom, but that's no excuse. I follow busier women and they make time to workout and meal prep. I'm satisfied with my year round body. I just want to take it to another level. I'm trying to be comfortable wearing swimwear because one day I want to enter a figure competition. Your "cheeks" are out in those suits. I can say every year, I get more comfortable with my body.

Swimsuit: Purchased @Ross (Last YEAR)  $10

Natasha Hastings  uploaded her summer time abs video and her ab game was too strong! She's a professional, but so personable. I'm going to give her ab routine a try! So can you! Don't forget to subscribe to her channel.

I didn't get my summer abs,  but I will take Fall or  Winter abs lol.  I'm going to keep you all updated.

GARNIER WHOLE BLENDS Shampoo and Conditioner

I am not a product junkie, so I actually run out of products lol.  On this impromptu wash day my local bss and Sally's Beauty were closed. I was not in the mood to drive to Walmart or Target, so I went to my local grocery store.

The Garnier Whole Blends products stood out. It was definitely the packaging. However, when I see products that contain Argan oil I get excited. Argan oil works great with my hair texture.

Price: 2/$7
 Both products smell amazing!

Product Talk:

The shampoo is OK. It's not too drying and my hair and scalp felt clean. My kinks only needed a quarter size of this shampoo and my head was full of suds. ✍🏽
The conditioner is amazing! It made my hair feel so soft and it was very easy to detangle. I often use the conditioner to co-wash. Great results every time! This product gives my kinks a nice shine. I always follow up with my African Pride leave-in and Castor oil.

 Have you tried these products?

Relationships L.O.V.E ...❤️

I actually had fun filming my Am I Single tag video on my YouTube channel. The questions were straight forward. I gave answers as much as I could lol. I consider myself semi-private when it comes to my personal life.

Here's the video

Are you single? Are you frustrated?  I will tell you this; don't be frustrated. Your waiting is part of the process. There are so many more things you can do in the meantime.  This message is mainly for women, but men can relate. πŸ˜‰

Often, loneliness will allow you to seek a relationship to supply your sexual or financial needs; maybe both. Be very careful in making those decisions and proceed with caution

If you are in a relationship because you are  tired of being lonely remember you don't have to stay there.

It is very common to feel obligated to someone because of time. Although, you've spent several months or years in a relationship it doesn't mean you have to marry that person. I get it, you put so much work into this person, but please ask yourself if you really want to spend FOREVER with the individual. Did you waste a few months or years trying to figure it out? Don't look at it as waste, it's better to say ... what an experience!

Ok PAUSE... some are a complete waste lol

Don't let loneliness block your blessing.  Also, be open to dating if you are single! ❤️ Don't curve them all! πŸ˜‚.

Singles Ask yourself :

In your next relationship Do you want to repeat what you've done in the past?

What did you learn from your previous relationship?

Did you rush it?

Being in a relationship leading to marriage is Beautiful!!!!! πŸ’ In this crazy world we must Live, Laugh and Love!

You have the opportunity to earn hourly pay at home.

As I stated in my first post, I will be listing legitimate companies that I work or have worked for and look forward to working with in the future! I rarely apply to the jobs that request that I pay for my own  background check.

However,  several jobs  don't require that you pay anything. They simply require the basics.
  • Quiet Space * No dogs barking, kids or better yet any distractions
  • Computer or Laptop
  • Usb headset or corded phone headset
  • Internet ( most companies don't like wireless connections, they want you connected using a Ethernet cable.

Check back for more! ✌🏾️

I finally got a chance to watch All Eyez On Me after reading  reviews. I don't want this to be a spoiler, so I won't go into details. I didn't allow other reviews to sway me from watching the movie. I also didn't allow celebrity reviews to sway me as well. I like to form my own opinion. I've read that the movie was similar to a biopic from Lifetime. I have to disagree. The film was put together very well.

Throughout the movie, I was entertained and enlightened on Tupac Shakur. I am a big fan of his music. I laughed, felt sad and rejoiced during this movie. Tupac Shakur experienced so much in so little time. He died at the age of 25. I still remember the day he died. Everyone I knew was devastated.  I had a childhood crush on him lol. He was very articulate and that's what I was mostly attractive too.
He was son of  a queen called Afeni Shakur. I am so happy that parts of her life; the good and the bad was shown in the movie. She was a strong black woman.

I just want to say, go see the movie for yourself.  After posting this I'm  going to turn on my PANDORA app and listen to TUPAC.

A few of my favorite Tupac Songs:

  • Keep Ya  Head Up
  • Brenda Got A Baby
  • I ain't Mad at Cha
  • Changes

Two weeks after straightening my hair with the Simply Straight Straightening brush, I decided I wanted to try a rod set. I set up my equipment and begin to film.  I didn't want to wash my hair and miss out on this opportunity.
Product talk

I only used  one product to achieve this result.
I used the Smooth'N Shine Polishing Revivoil Foaming Wrap Lotion with Olive & Tea Tree Oils. The product states (4) Firm Hold. You can use this product on damp or dry hair. I purchased this product at my local Walmart for $3.

After I finished installing the rods, I sprayed my hair with the Silk & Shine Leave-In Detangler Conditioner. It leaves my hair feeling absolutely great.

I ordered (2) packs of rods  (2) leave-in conditioners (2) shampoos and (2) conditioners  on the The Mane Choice website when they were having a sale for $3.00 each. Be sure to follow this company on Instagram for updates and giveaways!

I was so happy with my results.

I tried really hard not to disturb my curls.

Personally, I can only stretch this style for 2-3 days.  Then on to the next lol.
Half Up Half Down

Check out the video below for different styles.

I will definetly revisit this style the next time I straighten my hair.  Have you tried  any of these products before?

The Menu
It was dark, I wish I had a better picture of my food. I had Cod fish and waffle fries. The food arrived hot and delicious. I also had an alcoholic beverage. That's not all, I was greedy and purchased a ice cream sandwich for dessert. It was huge, but I ate it anyways lol. Although it was dark, I used my camera light on my cellphone to examine my food!  Hey, I need to see what I'm eating lol. It was delicious. The cost wasn't cheap, but I enjoyed the experience. I spent  $30 on food.

Will I go back to  iPIC TheatersYes!

Why? I enjoyed the food and reclining leather seat. I felt like I was at home. I enjoyed being served while watching a movie. Did I mention the popcorn is COMPLIMENTARY, so you can skip the meal if you like! After visiting iPic I compared the experience to a ordinary theater and I felt out of place LOL!

Have you ever had a theater experience like this?
